Name and Domain Change

Hey Everyone... A quick edit from me. Poor sick me :/ Ugh.. I know, right?
Well.. if you're watching, happening to stop by.. there are some changes in store for Fabulous and Something..

Not only am I changing from blogger to Wordpress, but I am also changing the name of the blog.
It'll take me a little while to get the posts transfered properly, but I have all weekend to work seeing as my plans were changed..

Thank God, It's Sundae..

Okay.. few things to clear up before we continue.. Yes, I know it's only Thursday and yes, I know that's not a sundae ^^

However, I did have a lot of trouble deciding on the title for this blogpost. So much I actually waited a day writing it. I don't know why I can't just write the post itself and then come up with the title afterwards. *shakes my head*

We may never know.

And to be fair.. There IS ice cream in the picture AND today we have another day of the week. The weekend is approaching and I'll be spending it with family.

Something I'm extremely pleased with when visiting family, is the option of stepping into the garden and enjoy the chilly breezes while still being in the comfort of somewhere familiar. Living in an apartment, I sadly spend too much time indoors during these extremely hot months, cooling myself down with tons of ice cubes.

And ice cream... seriously, I LOVE ice cream. Call it my guilty pleasure.. call it unhealthy. You know what? Call it whatever you like.. I call it freaking delicious! XD

It's one of those things that can always cheer me up... Hmm, that's not exactly the best way to feel better is it? Oh well.. It remains yummy.

Über yummy!

But we'll step away from the ice cream for now, and I'll look forward to a short weekend visit at my brother's house, playing Monopoly and eating steaks fresh off the grill.

The Lyrics Goes A Little Something Like This....

We all know that everything is possible in Second Life. No matter your place in the World, if you are a member of this marvolous universe, you can go anywhere at anytime.

Even though I've only been on Second Life for about 10 month, I've managed to see some really amazing places. Some have been amazing because of the people I met there and some have been amazing due to the sheer beauty of the Sim.

Some people are just so darn creative I wanna shake them and hopefully catch a little bit of their talent in the process.

The following place is by one of such people.

Lyrics Ballroom & Venue is a brand new formal setting by Sirog and Elsa Fredriksson. Actually it's so brand new that it hasn't even opened to the public yet, but I assure you that it will open with a proper celebration for everything that is good about that little thing we call love.

On the opening day, there will be two live performances to kick everything into gear. So if you want to enjoy a romantic date with your sweetheart, or have a place to talk with your best of friends, or maybe just spin around on your own on the dancefloor while you take in the beautiful sorroundings, then Lyrics is a place for you.

I get excited over the silliest things when I get introduced to places like this. In this case, one of the things was the stone floor in the ballroom. Another was the Laq dining room tables. Seriously still some of the most beautiful tables on SL in my opinion.

A third thing is that you'll find the ballroom and venue separated.

Wait, does this mean I can't enjoy music in the ballroom and can't dance at the venue? Of course it doesn't, you oaf. XD

It simply means that if you should ever want to book this gorgeous place, let's say.. for a wedding maybe? Nudge nudge, wink wink... Then there is plenty of room to go around.  

Since I've met Elsa through the lovely Faylinn from .:Buttery Toast:., I think it's only fair to include her in this post, and I'm going to do that by showing you the next installment in the "Rule of Cute" franchise ^^

Remember those beautiful scepters? Well now you can add a choker and matching cuffs to the collection by going to the Black Dot event when it opens on July 25th.

If there's something I love to do, it's looking up at the sky.. Whether it's day or night, sunny or cloudy, raining or snowing.. it's something that's always fascinated me.

It's one of those things where science can give me as many explanations as it wants, and I'll still be in awe.

Now I'm not one of those people who denies that there is a scientific and very valid explanation, I'm just saying that I don't always "get" it. You know what I mean?

At some point in school, we were taught how the moon is not made of cheese, clouds are not cotton candy and stars don't turn off during the daytime. But I like to think that we are allowed to keep a little bit of mystery, cause honestly, life can get boring without it.

In real life, I'm one of those people who likes answers to everything, and as I've mentioned before, the words "Just because" are ones I truly despise, but I think the sky is one thing I can live without knowing everything about.

I Don't Like Cities, But I Like New York..

In my 26 years on this planet, I've honestly not been far away from home very often. And by not very far, I mean within approximately 60 kilometers away from where I was born.

The only vacation my parents ever took me and my brothers on, their idea of "away" was just another part of Denmark. Don't get me wrong, I love my country and we have some beautiful locations.. But as a 10 year old child, all I could think was, "Gosh I wonder what the Caribbean looks like?"

If I had to choose now, I wouldn't go somewhere that would require me to lie on a beach all day.. I think I managed to explain in the previous blog post that it doesn't turn out well for me.

Instead, I'd go visit the Empire State Building and The Museum of Modern Art.. Oh yeah, New York baby. That's my destination.. you know, when I have the money, and the time, and I get over my fear of flying. So if anyone's got a free bus ride available, hit me up ;)

So for this photo, I tried something I haven't before.. And that's using a green screen. It took me a while and a lot of reading to figure out how to rid of that pesky green hue along the border once I'd applied the mask. It was rather fun trying to place my avatar in a real life setting and it probably won't be the last attempt.

For this rather metropolitan looking outfit, I chose to wear a new dress from .:Vimitri:.

There's some part of me that's always thought a pencil skirt or dress is the epiphany of posh ladies, so go home Carrie Bradshaw.. there's a new bitch in town.

Let's Go To The Beach

It's very rare that you'll find me on a beach in real life. Maybe it's because I don't swim very well. Maybe it's because I think jellyfish are absolutely terrifying, or maybe it's because I've just never been able to find the pleasure that I know a lot of people experience by going to the beach in these summer months.

I apologize if that makes me sound dreadfully boring, but alas, there is little to be done about the matter. The ocean will still exist and so will the jellyfish.. And then there's tanning. There's a hobby I've never seemed to fully understand.

Okay, I'll admit that my Scandinavian skin tends to look like a boiled lobster's shell before anything else. You'd think I'd learned by now wouldn't you?

But I do love swimsuits, and beaches are usually where you'll find them. Unless you're in Second Life. Then there's a chance you'll see them in the oddest of places.

And because I love sharing fun little stories, I'll share this with you. The original picture I was gonna share in this post was a lot different from what I'm actually showing you now. I had originally gone for the pink version of this Mag<3.b two piece and combined it with an ice cream prop from one of {Imeka}'s gatcha machines. I'd posed on a beach, took the picture and started writing. Due to some RL obligations as well as SL obligations it's taken me a little longer to write than I had imagined and I spent some of my free moments browsing Flickr.

There, I saw a picture... The pink two piece, the {Imeka} ice cream and I'll admit, the picture was a thousand times better than mine.

So I decided to go in a different direction and chose to wear the Rouge version of this cute little bikini. It comes in 5 different colours for 100L each and 150 if you decide to purchase the double pack which includes the past Hello Sailor swimsuit.

All you have to do is put it on, and you're ready for a day at the beach.. Or forest. Wherever you decide to show it off ;)
