The Lyrics Goes A Little Something Like This....

We all know that everything is possible in Second Life. No matter your place in the World, if you are a member of this marvolous universe, you can go anywhere at anytime.

Even though I've only been on Second Life for about 10 month, I've managed to see some really amazing places. Some have been amazing because of the people I met there and some have been amazing due to the sheer beauty of the Sim.

Some people are just so darn creative I wanna shake them and hopefully catch a little bit of their talent in the process.

The following place is by one of such people.

Lyrics Ballroom & Venue is a brand new formal setting by Sirog and Elsa Fredriksson. Actually it's so brand new that it hasn't even opened to the public yet, but I assure you that it will open with a proper celebration for everything that is good about that little thing we call love.

On the opening day, there will be two live performances to kick everything into gear. So if you want to enjoy a romantic date with your sweetheart, or have a place to talk with your best of friends, or maybe just spin around on your own on the dancefloor while you take in the beautiful sorroundings, then Lyrics is a place for you.

I get excited over the silliest things when I get introduced to places like this. In this case, one of the things was the stone floor in the ballroom. Another was the Laq dining room tables. Seriously still some of the most beautiful tables on SL in my opinion.

A third thing is that you'll find the ballroom and venue separated.

Wait, does this mean I can't enjoy music in the ballroom and can't dance at the venue? Of course it doesn't, you oaf. XD

It simply means that if you should ever want to book this gorgeous place, let's say.. for a wedding maybe? Nudge nudge, wink wink... Then there is plenty of room to go around.  

Since I've met Elsa through the lovely Faylinn from .:Buttery Toast:., I think it's only fair to include her in this post, and I'm going to do that by showing you the next installment in the "Rule of Cute" franchise ^^

Remember those beautiful scepters? Well now you can add a choker and matching cuffs to the collection by going to the Black Dot event when it opens on July 25th.

As always with .:Buttery Toast:. there is a yummy hud inside that lets you change the colour on the heart and beads.

So get those pixels of yours down to both the Black Dot event AND the Lyrics Ballroom & Venue when they open. They're both places you really don't wanna miss out on.

Got my Djinni in a Bottle

This time I decided to work on the looks of my alt. It having been least four months he had had the previous look so, in my restless eyes, it was about time for a change. 

As I have a heavily modded mesh body for use with him, the only thing I myself can make a change in is with the face and hair so I've started creating looks with piercings and face tattoos, in addition to a quality skin and hair, and when ever I am in need of quality piercings nowadays, I find myself heading for Haus of Darcy, - .HoD. -, which has quality piercings with quite a few of them directed for role players so there are more excotic styles for offer, quite a few of them coming with complimentary face tattoos. I admit I ended up buying a few different ones, but for this look I chose the Cathaoirmore, for in combination with the Nivaro skin (they have wonderful faces) seems to give the avatar a more eastern look and in combination with the mesh dreadlocks from Tableau Vivant (another store I visit too often), it seemed to me, what I was destined to create was a djinn. 

Now with the details for the face and hair decided I then went in hunt for clothing. The mesh arm and hand wrappings in use for the image I have had and used for some time, and were perhaps not necessary to create the look, but I rather like them, and I tend to run by that. :) For the clothing I did quite a bit of jumping through the more well known RP clothiers, but eventually ending up in Moon Sha, which at first seemed to be a store full of houses, furniture and various items for medieval, yet the second floor surprised me pleasantly with a few outfits, which I knew I had to buy.

Then the final step, finding a place to take the pictures. I've always enjoyed visiting Elven Forest as, with it's different areas, it has almost anything I might require for a background (provided I do not need a modern city scene). 

And with this, another outfit was created, along with the perfect excuse to hunt down lots of new clothes I may or may not end up using more than once.
