Back To The 80's

I wasn't around much in the 80's actually.. And no, it wasn't because I was too busy partying to notice a decade pass by, but because I was born in 1988, the 90's happened before I got a chance to say. ”Whatchu talkin' 'bout, Willis? ”

A lot of stuff happened during the 80's, as it does in any other decade, and most of it is stuff I have no knowledge of whatsoever... Therefore, I see very little reason to go into politics and economics.

Let's instead talk a little about the fashion of this particular time in history, shall we?

Quite a few hairstyles became popular during this era, like the perm and mullet. It had to be big.. The bigger the better..

At the same time, movies and music videos heavily inspired the fashion industry. Movies like Top Gun made the aviators incredibly popular, and Madonna sent the World into a faux jewelry frenzy.. As with the hair, you had better go big or go home. Bright and over the top is what you'll see with a single google search..

But enough about that. There is 10 years to go over if we have to cover it all, and you don't want to read all that.

It took a while before I was introduced to events in Second Life. I remember hearing about the
Arcade in December last year, and how it was impossible to get it.
Honestly, the whole thing seemed silly to me. The image of a mob waiting outside a store, waiting for the doors to open crossed my mind.
But here I am.. I'm one of you. XD

We've got two events and a special princess to talk about today.

Boobs, Butts and Beyond is a charity event for those who wishes to help the fight against
breast cancer. Each designer will create at least one item where either 100 or 50 percent of the  sale goes to "Breast Cancer Action" and after little over a week, 100k have already been donated.
Our amazing Glo from *Bubblefish* has joined in and created a lot of stunning clothes for this event,one of them being this cute pink bikini. 
And, as with everything at the BBB event, it's applier friendly, so if you've got some Lola's or Azz's on that avi of yours, this is the bikini for you.
You've still got until the end of month to get your various bodyparts there :) 

Another event I'd recommend you stop by, is the Funny Puppet Fair. 
Take a stroll around this colourful little town and shop your heart out. I know I did.
Out of all the stuff I got there, my new little green friend is probably my favourite. He'll follow you around, sit on your head, cuddle up in your arms or sit quietly on a shelf if you want him to. It's
all up to you, and there are of course a lot more colours than green to choose from.

And last, but certainly not least.. Our Princess.
Mama Toast has given us her newest, 100 percent original mesh creation in the form of a princess wand.
I mean.. how cute is that on a scale from "Swing!" to "Aaaaaye"?
I absolutely love it.
If you're unlike me, and are able to chose easily, then there are 4 duo packs available for 100L each.
However, if you resemble me in any way.. then you'll want to go for the fatpack.
250L and you'll get a HUD that lets you change the colour of everything, making sure you have
a wand that is special to you.

The most amazing thing about Second Life, to me, is the fact that you can do whatever

you want, and be whoever you want to be.

Can't play piano? Well buy yourself one and instantly know how to play

Nocturne perfectly.. 

Can't play baseball? Well suit up and go to the field. You don't even have to play,

just pose and pretend you know what you're doing ;)

So that's what I did when Glo sent me her newest props and poses for the

Oh! Like Blah Gatcha Event. I mean, me as a baseball player? I'd hit myself or someone else

with the bat before reaching first base.. but damn if I ain't gonna try and look

fabulous while doing it ^^

I'm much better at crawling into the pool (as small as it may be) and enjoy a moment
of peace and quiet.
And who says you're too old to bring a giant fish with you?
No one, that's who.. cause they're freaking adorable.

The Feeling

There's a lot of events going on lately, and it seems almost impossible to keep up with what is going on when and where.
But today, we'll only focus on this one.. THE FEELING.
A 10 day gatcha event that starts tomorrow, april 15th with the theme "Words".

Words are such a beautiful thing, and so are these word props with original poses from Bubblefish, which will be a gatcha release at the event.
So make sure you save those Lindens of yours and stop by The Feeling when they open the gates tomorrow and try your luck.

Spring is Coming

I'll gladly admit that Game of Thrones is a wonderful show, but Winter is Coming? Hell no!
I'm ready for spring, and the weather outside seems to agree with me. Bringing the spring with me into Second Life, Havoc and I went for a little bike ride. Aah.. All the relaxation without the buzzing of virtual bees. How much more could we possibly ask for?
Well... Spring also means, finding the clothes that we can wear outside without needing a jacket. Not too much. Not too little.

Something I like to wear, especially around this time of year, are the wool tights, and I've brought that with me into the life that is Second. 
I've been meaning to do a blog post with these tights in particular for quite a while now, cause I simply adore them. So stop by Glo's inworld shop for a chance at the gatcha machine.
